Mark Schaus Memorial Scholarship

“Superior Achievement, Work Ethic, Leadership, Sportsmanship, Love of the Game”

“Superior Achievement,
Work Ethic, Leadership,
Sportsmanship,
Love of the Game”

Mark P. Schaus valued these characteristics in every student athlete and as such, he was a lifelong friend to and supporter of South Milwaukee sports. Following his untimely passing, his loved ones created a scholarship in his honor to continue that assistance and recognition of these qualities.

We remember Mark for his integrity, kindness, and especially his wry spicy wit. Mark loved high school sports. He enjoyed the energy, determination and humor of student athletes, and he recognized how participating in sports can shape who we are far beyond the game.

The Mark P. Schaus Memorial Scholarship is a one-time award of $1,000 to a graduating student-athlete from South Milwaukee High School. The recipient will have met the following criteria:

         * Is a well-rounded individual with interests and abilities that extend beyond the playing field.
